Norton product key activation ensures that you are using your Norton product legally, as well as allows you to avail the latest features that Norton has to offer. To activate your Norton product key, click on Activate Norton in the main window of your Norton program. This option appears only if you have not activated your Norton product key already. A window will appear with two options: Activate or Buy Now. Click on Activate to proceed further. It will ask you to enter the code of your Norton product key, which will automatically appear on your screen along with confirmation of its validity on the next page.
Norton Product Key Account
For activation purposes, you need to have a Norton account. If you don’t have one, create one by clicking on the Register button or Sign up for a free account here. After creating an account, click on Sign in and enter your email address and password. Proceed to your My Products page where you will see your key to activate your antivirus software installed at home. Now copy it and paste it in theActivate Norton Product Key Code field during installation of the product. Wait for a few minutes after registration until you receive a confirmation message that the product has been activated successfully.
Step 1
Open your email and locate a message that contains Activate Norton Product Key. Copy and paste that product key into your Activation window. If you have a CD/DVD, please insert it now. For online activation, navigate to Symantec website to download Norton setup file. From there follow on-screen instructions to install it on your computer or laptop using the Activation option from My Account page. This is because you need an active internet connection in order to successfully install and activate any Norton product. If your device doesn’t have an internet connection, you can use a USB key instead of CD/DVD for online activation as well as for installing Norton programs on a single device only (please note that offline activation is allowed once per year).
Step 2
Now, click on the Accept option to continue activation of your Norton product key. On the activation page, enter your 25-character alphanumeric product key and click on Continue option. You can get your Norton product key from receipt or confirmation email sent by Symantec/Norton after purchase of product. If you have lost your activation code, check out the support page for help. On the confirmation page, choose the appropriate country or region for activation of your product key.
Step 3
Type out or copy and paste our software key. If you do not have your product box anymore, don’t worry. Just run our anti-malware software to find it. This will speed up activation significantly. Also, if you are running an older version of our products, open them first before running any updates or activating them using Product Keys listed here, because some issues may occur with software updates due to incompatible system configurations with newer Windows operating systems. Step 4. Enter your email address
Select your country and type in your email address. This is where you will receive your product key. The page will show you what countries can be chosen, check to see if yours is on that list. You also have an option of adding a security question that only you know, just in case you forget your password or get locked out of your account. Once you enter all of these details, click Enter Email to continue with Step 5 below. If for some reason you do not get a product key after entering everything correctly and hitting ‘enter’, proceed to Step 6: Login Page and try again at a later time.
Step 5. Choose a payment method
Sign in to your Norton account. Sign in to your Norton account by entering your email address and password on the home page, then click Sign In. You can also sign in by clicking Sign In at any time while browsing our site. The Your Account link is in the upper-right corner of most pages. If you are prompted to enter a product key instead of signing in, do so. If you have not yet received your product key or download instructions, select Register from an eligible product’s product detail page. Type or copy/paste your 25-character product key into Text Box 1; then click Next Step to continue with activation of that product.
